Mrs. Sarah V. Moody, age 85 of McDonough, Georgia passed away August 22, 2012. She was born in Marion, South Carolina to the late William and Mamie Neal Ellerbe. She graduated from Marion High School, Class of 1945. She lived most of her adult life in Waukegan, Illinois where she was an active member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and in the Missions of the church. She retired after 25 years as a Pre-K Teacher at Happy Day Nursery. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, dancing and meeting and socializing with everyone. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Willard Moody; son, Wilfred (Pearlie) Moody of Fayetteville, GA; daughter, Myra Moody of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Cassandra Moody of Stockbridge, GA, Natalie (Scott) Bates of Fayetteville, GA, Melanie Ward of Hampton, GA, Willis (Tasha) Moody, Sr. of Locust Grove, GA; great grandchildren, Jessica Hines, Jasmine Ward, Kiara Foxworth, Taj Luster, Nicholas Bates, Joy Moody and Willis Moody, Jr.; great-great granddaughter, Hayden Foxworth; nephews, Jimmy Neal of Conway, SC and Robert Neal of Mullins, SC; niece, Nancy Rowell of Mullins, SC. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Minister Enda Bowman will officiate. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service and may sign the guestbook Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
